GAINESVILLE — Coach Jon Sumrall is just getting started, but already has buy-in from the man who put Florida football on the map — Steve Spurrier.
Spurrier attended Tuesday’s spring practice, where the 80-year-old Hall of Famer shared his wisdom and vision with the team.
“It’s so rare, unique to have a Heisman Trophy winner and a head coach who won a national title with the same school that happens to live in town,” Sumrall said. “So really neat for us just hearing him address our guys about urgency towards winning, and what that looks like.
