It wouldn’t be the off-season without some juicy rumors to pop up here and there. It was reported, allegedly, that Maximiliano Urruti had wanted out last summer to return to his home country of Argentina. The rumblings out of that failed transfer soured Urruti and the locker room that may have contributed to the collapse of 2017.
A few days ago, it was reported that Cristian D’Amico, Newell’s VP was going to talk to Urruti about a potential move back home. It appears now that D’Amico has followed through on that promise.
Maxi Urruti of @FCDallas is on holiday in Rosario this week and will speak to #Newells officials but it is being reported that his wage demands cannot be met.
