It has been quite the week for Kellyn Acosta. First his two assist effort in the 4-2 win over the New England Revolution was his first career assists. Then the news broke today that he was named to Jurgen Klinsmann's United States roster for the upcoming friendly on Wednesday night in Frisco against Ecuador.
The game is a warm-up for next month's Copa America Centenario for the Americans as Acosta will potentially square off against fellow midfield partner Carlos Gruezo.
Acosta was not named to Klinsmann's 23-man roster for Copa America but was on the preliminary roster.
