Hot starts and cold stops are the now the norm for FC Dallas. Rocketing to the top in the season's opening quarter only to fall into a pothole is definitely 'a thing' Dallas has done for the last three or four campaigns. Each of the previous seasons' stumbles could be tied to team's lack of depth when key attacking players were out. Today the general issue is still depth, but in a different place on the field.
2016 kinda felt like it could be different. The club was no longer shallow in midfield and a had slippy smart new striker.
