In the 13th minute Dallas nearly got on the board thanks to a counter attack from Michael Barrios. Santiago Mosquera sent a long ball to the run of Barrios who had a nice first touch to get by his defender. Barrios put then put in a hard shot from the right side of the penalty box that hit the side netting.
Columbus pressed Dallas early on in the first half with a couple solid chances.
