Chalá, if you recall, was signed by Los Moos as a young DP prior to the 2017 season but after a sports hernia injury was loaned to L.D.U Quito for the year. "We signed him to come and play here but with 103 straight games he played in Ecuador, the injury was a surprise to us," said FCD President Dan Hunt at the FC Dallas Hall of Fame press conference.
"We're excited to bring him back," Hunt continued, "but that being said there's a lot of global interest in him. We've received, not only in Ecuador but abroad, we've received inquiries to sign him so we'll have to decide what we want to do with him.
