BYU’s Shaquille Walker and Shea Collinsworth will be among a half-dozen athletes with Utah ties who will compete in next week’s U.S. Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon, July 1-8.
Walker and Collinsworth both concluded their junior seasons earlier this month by finishing third in the men’s and women’s 800-meter races, respectively, at the NCAA track and field championships. Both will need to run considerably faster at the trials to place among the top three that will advance to the Olympic Games.
